OpenAI’s new Responses API is going to replace the old Assistants API, which will stop being supported by mid-2026. The new suite includes advanced search models called GPT-4o search and GPT-4o mini search, which offer 90% factual accuracy. It also features a file search tool and a Computer-Using Agent that helps automate tasks. However, even though these tools are advanced, making them fully independent is still quite challenging.
Even with these improvements, errors still happen, and some things remain uncertain. OpenAI is working hard to refine its models, with the goal of making 2025 a big year for AI agents in workplaces.
